Sound Healing

utilize different aspects of sound to improve your emotional and physical well-being!

Sound healing uses different aspects of sound to improve your emotional and physical well-being, with each session being unique and representing a different experience.

Healing with sound is believed to date back to ancient Greece, when music was used in an attempt to cure mental disorders; and singing bowl therapy itself is documented to date back to the 12th century and has been used for meditation and rituals in Tibetan culture ever since. Additionally, the vibration of sound (or Word) is the way our world comes into creation and manifestation in pretty much every sacred text available.

There are many different types of sound therapy, ranging from simple moving to the beat of the music to vibrational sound therapy, which uses special sounds that produce vibrations thought to improve brain waves.

A sound bath uses the principle of vibrational therapy: our instruments here at “A Soulful Cup” are attuned to the so-called Divine Frequency of 432Hz, which is said to be the natural frequency of the universe, and to have cosmic healing powers.

In Sound Healing (or Therapy) Gong, Tibetan Singing bowls, brass healing bowls, gentle mantra, and harmonic chimes are used together to lead you into an altered state beyond resistance where incredible healing can occur. These healing sessions with sacred sounds are slowly becoming more and more popular due to their ability to strengthen the nervous system, clear the subconscious mind, and induce deep relaxation.

For example, a 2016 study (https:// journals. doi/full/ 10.1177/ 2156587216668109) found that singing bowl meditation reduced stress, anger, depression, and fatigue. All of these things are known to impact physical health and raise the risk for disease, suggesting that sound healing therapy may be good for your physical, as well as emotional, well-being.

In brief: a Sound Bath is an acoustic sound healing journey that relaxes the body, clearing the subconscious, and the mind, and activating your body’s natural healing systems, and help get rid of stress and all that no longer serves you.

Some of the benefits of sound healing are: Eliminates Stress – Unlocks Blocked Emotions – Relieves Anxiety – Induces Complete Relaxation – Promotes Deep Meditation – Heightens Clarity – Improves Ability to Concentrate – Relieves Insomnia – Decreases Depression – Normalizes Blood Pressure – Relieves Physical Pain – Releases Emotional Trauma
